Eric D-Lux fell in love with music at a young age. So much so that he carried the gift of sound with him wherever he went.
“I fell in love with music ever since I was a little kid,” D-Lux said. “I remember not being able to go anywhere without my walkman!”
As he got older, D-Lux explored his passion for music through other avenues and in high school, he fell in love with DJing. Inspired by the 1980s, hip-hop cult classic “Beat Street”, D-Lux made it his mission to find a job and save up in order to buy his first set of turntables. Fast forward several years later and D-Lux earned his first big break, joining the street team of L.A.’s famed Power 106. That eventually led to an opportunity to spin for the station and later, to co-host his own show.
D-Lux is still on the radio these days, but he’s also become one of the most sought-after DJs on the Las Vegas strip. He takes over the Ling Ling Club tomorrow for a very special DJ set to celebrate his 33rd birthday and HakkasanLV.com caught up with him to pick his brain on a number of different topics.
